Virtual Sanctuaries offers imaginative and inspiring audio and video solutions for congregations seeking ways to create uplifting and meaningful experiences for their communities.

Virtual Sanctuaries offers imaginative and inspiring audio/video solutions for congregations seeking new ways to create uplifting and meaningful experiences for their communities.

WELCOME | OVERVIEW

Across the world, congregations are beginning to embrace the spirit and unique opportunity of creating inspiring virtual choir videos for the upcoming High Holy Days.  If you’ve had the chance to experience these kinds of videos online, it’s hard not to be drawn in and touched by the sight, sound and power of love that shines through.

From traditional choir “window frames” to the mind-blowing special effects used in composer Eric Whitaker’s “Lux Aurumque”, or Jacob Collier’s arrangement of “Moon River” –  the universal language of music shared through this art form can be breathtaking.  And, while our goal may not be to create the degree of ‘epic’ special effects as Jacob Collier for the High Holy Days, Virtual Sanctuaries was launched because we ARE committed to creating moving experiences and lasting memories for our communities, especially at this time.  One thing to note, is that there’s no “magic” app for this :).  It’s not done with “ZOOM” or “do it yourself” apps.  Virtual choir videos are in fact, created by skilled, professional audio/visual editors.

As a synagogue music/choir director, producer, composer, artist, engineer and video creator, I understand first hand, the impact of this moment.   Using technology we can provide a path to continue to gather and pray in community on the holiest of days.  As we embrace life and expand our imagination, it is possible that while we are apart and unable to physically gather in our Sanctuaries, that in fact, this moment has the potential of bringing us even closer together.

Please reach out with any questions at all!  Wishing you good health, love and joy!  Let’s rock this!!

HOW IT WORKS

We will provide detailed instructions for you and your choir members, and work with you through every step! 🎵

STEP 1: Your music team creates a guide track for each song, which choir members/musicans will listen to while videoing themselves.
